JOB DESCRIPTION – STRUCTURAL DESIGNER Position: Structural Designer Location: Chennai & Pune Experience: 8–20 Years Industry: Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Preferred Job Overview We are looking for experienced Structural Designers with strong expertise in structural design and detailing for Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical and Industrial projects. Candidates should have hands-on experience in 2D drafting, 3D structural modelling, structural detailing and preparation of engineering drawings. Key Responsibilities - Prepare structural design and detailing drawings for Oil & Gas and industrial projects. - Develop 2D and 3D structural models for steel and concrete structures. - Prepare General Arrangement (GA) drawings, layouts, sections and elevations. - Work on pipe racks, equipment platforms, access platforms, staircases and industrial structures. - Prepare structural steel fabrication and erection drawings. - Develop structural connection details and miscellaneous steel drawings. - Prepare equipment foundation and structural support drawings. - Extract 2D drawings and documentation from 3D models. - Review and incorporate engineering comments and design modifications. - Coordinate with Structural Engineers and other engineering disciplines. - Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable design standards. Technical Skills Required - Structural Design and Detailing. - 2D Drafting and 3D Structural Modelling. - Structural Steel Detailing. - General Arrangement (GA) Drawings. - Fabrication and Erection Drawings. - Pipe Rack and Equipment Platform Detailing. - Structural Connection Details. - Industrial Structural Drawings. - Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and standards. - Relevant structural design and detailing software. Educational Qualification - Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or relevant discipline. Experience Requirements - 8–20 years of relevant experience in Structural Design / Detailing. - Experience in Oil & Gas / Refinery / Petrochemical projects preferred. - Experience in Basic and Detailed Engineering. - Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing and engineering drawings. - Ability to independently handle structural design and detailing deliverables.
