JOB DESCRIPTION – OFFSHORE STRUCTURAL ENGINEER Position: Offshore Structural Engineer Location: Bangalore, Karnataka Experience: 8–20 Years Industry: Offshore Oil & Gas / Marine / Energy Employment Type: Full-Time / Permanent Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days Preferred Job Overview We are looking for experienced Offshore Structural Engineers with strong expertise in structural analysis and design of offshore platforms and marine structures for Oil & Gas projects. Candidates should have hands-on experience in offshore structural engineering, structural analysis, design calculations and engineering deliverables. Key Responsibilities - Perform structural analysis and design of offshore structures for Oil & Gas projects. - Design offshore platforms, jackets, topsides, decks and supporting structures. - Handle structural analysis of fixed offshore platforms and marine structures. - Perform structural strength, stability and fatigue assessments. - Carry out structural design checks for equipment supports, pipe racks and access platforms. - Prepare and review structural design calculations, reports and engineering drawings. - Perform structural load assessments, including environmental and operational loads. - Review structural fabrication drawings and connection details. - Coordinate with Process, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical and other engineering disciplines. - Ensure compliance with offshore engineering codes, standards and project specifications. - Participate in technical reviews, client discussions and engineering coordination. - Support FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering activities. Technical Skills Required - Offshore Structural Analysis and Design. - Fixed Offshore Platforms and Jacket Structures. - Topsides and Deck Structural Design. - Structural Steel Design and Connection Design. - Fatigue Analysis and Structural Integrity Assessment. - In-place Analysis and Environmental Load Assessment. - Structural Stability and Strength Checks. - Offshore Foundation and Pile Design. - Structural Design Calculations and Technical Documentation. - STAAD.Pro / SACS / SESAM or equivalent offshore structural analysis software. - Knowledge of API, AISC, ISO and applicable offshore design standards. Educational Qualification - B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Structural Engineering. ### Experience Requirements - 8–20 years of relevant Structural Engineering experience. - Strong experience in Offshore Oil & Gas projects. - Experience in FEED, Basic and Detailed Engineering. - Hands-on experience in offshore structural analysis and design. - Good understanding of offshore structural codes, standards and engineering deliverables.
